Natalie Dadon Breaks Down as Giant Israeli Flag Is Removed from Kfar Shmaryahu
Influencer Natalie Dadon expressed deep sorrow after a giant Israeli flag was taken down from its prominent position at the entrance to Kfar Shmaryahu. The 40-meter tall flag, which had become a notable landmark, was removed following a nearly two-year legal dispute between the flag's owner, Boaz Hayun, and the local council. Dadon, who witnessed the flag's removal, shared her emotional reaction, saying, "Tears came down, and for a moment I thought I was overreacting, but I wasn’t. My heart just broke."
Dadon emphasized the symbolic importance of the flag beyond its physical size, stating it reminded people that they have a home and belong to a greater whole as one nation. She criticized the prolonged legal battle against Hayun, who personally invested time and money to erect and maintain the flag, saying, "Instead of thanking him for this gesture, he faced such a long struggle."
She concluded with a poignant reflection on national unity: "After all we have been through as a people, don’t we understand who our real enemy is? How do we manage to turn even the Israeli flag into a battleground? These things should be a consensus. My heart is broken; what a senseless fight."
