Gadi Eizenkot Blames Israeli Government Policy for Violence in West Bank's Kusra

The story · English

Gadi Eizenkot, chairman of the Yisrael party and former IDF Chief of Staff, sharply criticized the Israeli government's handling of the situation in Kusra, a Palestinian village in the West Bank. He described the siege on Palestinians there as a severe symptom of the government's failure and weakness. Eizenkot attributed the unrest to what he called a "reckless policy" by a government he labeled as negligent and irresponsible.

He condemned the government's actions, including the televised dismissal of the Central Command chief, the halt of administrative detentions, and the lack of support for IDF commanders. According to Eizenkot, these decisions have deliberately created chaos and disorder. He warned that in the face of violent lawbreaking by a radical minority, the government is abandoning IDF commanders to face the challenges alone.
