The story · English

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Bnei Brak, and prosecutors intend to file indictments against three of them in the coming days. Police said the shooting took place on the morning of May 6, 2026, after officers received a report about a man shot on Zevulun Street. The victim was wounded moderately and taken for medical treatment.

According to the investigation, the suspects had planned the attack in advance. Two men arrived on an motorcycle and waited outside the victim's home, while a third suspect, a 23-year-old from Hadera, rode a scooter and carried out surveillance and checks in the area. When the victim left home with his young daughter, the suspects followed him to her daycare.

After he dropped off his daughter and returned to his car, the assailants fired several shots at close range. Police said the suspected shooter, a 20-year-old from Hadera, fled with another motorcycle rider, a 26-year-old from Kadima-Zoran. A fourth suspect, a 49-year-old from Hadera, allegedly helped the others and took part in the crime.

All four were arrested, and their detention was extended several times. The 49-year-old was released today under restrictive conditions, while a notice of intent to indict has been filed against the three central suspects and their detention was extended until June 15, 2026. Police said the probe used evidence collection and advanced technological tools, and officers continue broader enforcement efforts amid recent violent incidents in the city.
