Netanyahu and Modi Discuss Strengthening Israel-India Strategic Partnership

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation on Thursday to review the ongoing progress in the special strategic partnership between Israel and India. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. They also exchanged views on recent developments in West Asia (the Middle East) and agreed to maintain continuous communication.

Following the call, Modi tweeted that the discussion covered multiple aspects of the growing and evolving strategic partnership between the two nations, highlighting its steady strengthening. He also noted their exchange of opinions regarding the current situation in West Asia.

This conversation follows Modi's visit to Israel in February 2026, when he led a senior delegation of ministers and officials for a two-day visit at Netanyahu's invitation. During that visit, the leaders reflected on Modi's historic 2017 visit to Israel and Netanyahu's reciprocal visit to India in 2018, which laid the foundation for deepening relations and expanding cooperation between the countries.
