IDF Soldier Seriously Wounded by Gunfire at Central Israel Military Base
An Israel Defense Forces soldier was seriously injured by gunfire on Tuesday at a military base in central Israel. The military police have launched an investigation into the incident. The IDF has not yet issued an official statement regarding the event.
This incident follows a similar case in December 2025, when another IDF soldier was critically wounded by gunfire at a northern Israel base and later died from his injuries in the hospital. The family was notified, and the military police opened an investigation.
Additionally, about two months prior, Yosef Chaim Raboh, an IDF soldier on leave, was accidentally killed at his home in Kiryat Arba by a stray bullet fired by a Border Police officer. The military police also investigated that case.
