Air Haifa Expands with New Weekly Flights to Popular Greek Destination Thessaloniki

Air Haifa, the northern Israeli airline, is expanding its route network by launching a new flight line from Haifa to Thessaloniki, Greece. Starting October 25, coinciding with the winter flight schedule, the airline will operate two weekly flights on Sundays and Thursdays. Ticket prices will begin at 89 euros one way, subject to availability. Thessaloniki is a favored destination among Israeli travelers, and this new route offers northern residents a direct flight option without needing to travel to Ben Gurion Airport.

Alongside the new route announcement, Air Haifa reported record growth in passenger numbers, carrying approximately 58,000 passengers in July, nearly double the figures from the same period last year. June also saw increased activity with about 45,000 passengers. With Thessaloniki added, Air Haifa's destinations now include Larnaca, Paphos, Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos, Athens, Karpathos, Eilat, and Sofia during winter.

This expansion comes amid a broader trend of Israeli airlines increasing flight offerings due to recovering travel demand and the gradual return of foreign carriers to Israel. Air Haifa's growth reflects the strengthening aviation market in the region and provides more travel options for Israeli passengers, especially those in the northern part of the country.
