Israel Mandates Graphic Health Warnings on All Tobacco Products Starting Today

The Israeli Ministry of Health announced that starting today, all tobacco products sold in Israel must feature graphic health warnings alongside existing textual warnings. These warnings will cover 75% of the packaging surface to prevent consumers from mistakenly perceiving any tobacco product as "reduced risk." The graphic warnings illustrate the harms caused by smoking and exposure to smoke. This regulation applies to all smoking products, including cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, oral tobacco products, and hookah (nargila) products. The move is part of a broader government policy aimed at reducing smoking rates, preventing smoking initiation, and encouraging cessation.
