After Football, Pierrot Says His Dream Is to Join the FBI

Fifteen years after leaving Maccabi Haifa, Haiti forward Frantzdy Pierrot is preparing to make his World Cup debut with Haiti, which plays its first Group G match at the 2026 World Cup overnight between Friday and Saturday at 4:00 a.m. Before the game, he spoke to France's L'Equipe and said that his post-football dream is to join the FBI.

The 31-year-old striker said he still feels very young and wants to keep playing as long as his body allows. He cited Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, as an inspiration, saying that if Ronaldo can keep going, he wonders why he cannot too. Pierrot said he will keep working, staying fit and hopes that in seven, eight or even 10 years he can say, "I told you so."

He explained that he has always wanted to protect people and do good in the world. "I want to join the FBI," he said, adding that people often think he is joking until he explains himself. For him, the goal is to become the best version of himself and treat everyone equally. He said his parents had an agreement with him that school had to come before football, which helped him finish his studies and gave him a fallback plan.

Pierrot added that his criminology studies opened many doors. He could become a regular police officer, but that is not his calling. He can continue his training, enter an academy and eventually become an FBI agent. He said he wanted options so that later he could decide calmly what he really wanted to do. Pierrot closed by saying Haiti's World Cup qualification proved that "everything is possible," and that he wants to help solve bigger problems and influence society if he still chooses that path after his football career.
