Maccabi Haifa's Former Star Frantzdy Pierrot Faces Possible Exit from AEK Athens

Frantzdy Pierrot, a Haitian striker and one of Maccabi Haifa's most successful foreign players in recent years, may soon part ways with AEK Athens. Pierrot, who played in the last World Cup and contributed to Haifa's championship and Champions League campaigns, was sold to AEK but has struggled to secure a stable position there. According to SPORT24, Greek club Atromitos is seriously considering signing him, as AEK does not include him in their plans for the current season.

Pierrot was loaned to Rizespor in the second half of last season and currently holds a contract with AEK until summer 2027, entering its final year. AEK is reportedly open to releasing him but demands meeting his financial terms. The 31-year-old forward can sign with any club starting January and move on a free transfer next summer.

During his time at AEK, Pierrot made 55 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist. His previous clubs include Maccabi Haifa, where he scored 43 goals and made 18 assists in 106 games, French club Guingamp (28 goals, 6 assists in 78 games), and Belgian side Mouscron (9 goals, 4 assists in 40 games).
