West Nile Virus-Infected Mosquitoes Found in Southern Israel's Tamar Regional Council
The Israeli Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection reported the capture of mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus in the Tamar Regional Council area in southern Israel. Since the beginning of the year, six cases of West Nile fever have been confirmed in the country. Following these findings, the Ministry of Environmental Protection instructed the regional council to expand its prevention, monitoring, public awareness, and mosquito control efforts to curb the spread of the virus.
