Defense Minister Katz Warns General Blot Over Policy Enforcement Dispute
A well-known right-wing activist was arrested for violating a restraining order, and Defense Minister Israel Katz requested his release. Katz sent a pointed message to General Tamir Blot, who challenged the decision, stating, "I am the one who instructed that there is no such thing as administrative arrests." Although the arrest was not administrative, Katz apparently viewed it as such. General Blot is widely respected within right-wing and religious Zionist circles and receives praise across the political spectrum. Despite Blot reporting directly to the Chief of Staff rather than Katz, the Defense Minister has considered possible measures against him due to this disagreement.
