Yinon Magal Criticizes Security Forces for Hesitation to Shoot in Gilad Farm Attack

During a broadcast on Channel 14's program The Patriots, host Yinon Magal sharply criticized Israeli security forces' response to a deadly attack at Gilad Farm, where two Jews were murdered. Magal argued that the security personnel's fear of shooting attackers is a key factor leading to the deaths of Jewish victims. He claimed that soldiers and officers hesitate to use their weapons because those who shoot suspects face investigations and mistreatment, including imprisonment, even when defending themselves against attackers.

Magal emphasized that the attackers came with the intent to kill Jews and that the security forces should have used their firearms appropriately to prevent the murders. He suggested measures such as warning shots or shooting at the attackers' legs to stop the violence. According to Magal, the reluctance to act decisively with firearms ultimately results in Jewish deaths, as seen in the Gilad Farm incident.

He concluded by lamenting the loss of two more Jewish lives and called for a change in how security forces handle such attacks to better protect civilians.
