Majority of Israeli Opposition Voters Prefer Coalition with Arab Parties Over Likud or Ultra-Orthodox Parties

A recent poll conducted by NEXT DATA and analyzed by Shlomo Filber reveals that a significant majority of opposition voters in Israel would prefer to form a government coalition with Arab parties if their bloc lacks enough seats to govern independently. The survey, carried out on July 26, 2026, among 878 adults across the population, shows that 70% of opposition voters favor partnering with Arab parties. In contrast, 23% would prefer a coalition with the Likud party, and only 7% favor alliances with ultra-Orthodox parties. This data highlights the opposition's inclination towards Arab parties as coalition partners over traditional right-wing or religious factions, assuming they cannot form a government alone. The findings were broadcast on Channel 14 news on Sunday evening.
