The story · English

WSC Sports, an Israeli sports technology company specializing in AI-driven sports content automation, announced it will lay off approximately 70 employees worldwide, with 60 of those job cuts occurring in Israel. The decision affects about 10% of the company's workforce and is part of a broad efficiency initiative in response to global macroeconomic changes. The layoffs are not limited to any specific department, role, or product.

The company described the move as a difficult but necessary step to ensure continued growth and investment in strategic areas. WSC Sports emphasized its appreciation for the contributions of the affected employees and committed to providing extensive support, personal guidance, and improved severance conditions to assist them in their next career steps.

Founded in Israel, WSC Sports serves major clients including the NBA, ESPN, YouTubeTV, and La Liga, among over 650 other sports organizations. Its platform automates the creation, management, distribution, and monetization of sports content, primarily for rights holders. The company recently provided match summaries for the World Cup to the Israeli broadcaster Kan 11. Since its inception, WSC Sports has raised $150 million and employs around 680 people across offices in Ramat Gan, New York, London, Sydney, Thailand, China, and Japan, with approximately 550 employees based at its Israeli headquarters.
