Egg-Throwing Attacks Target Haredi Pedestrians in New York's Monsey Neighborhoods

A series of disturbing incidents occurred in the Haredi neighborhoods of Monsey, New York, where unknown individuals driving a passing vehicle threw eggs at pedestrians walking along the streets. The attacks took place on Sunday evening across several locations in the Ramapo area, including Monsey, South Monsey, and Airmont. Despite no physical injuries being reported, the events have caused significant concern among the local Haredi community amid a rise in antisemitic and harassing acts.

The Ramapo Police Department, together with volunteers from the Chesed and security organization "Chaverim of Rockland," launched a thorough investigation. Police are analyzing security camera footage and collecting eyewitness testimonies to identify the vehicle, license plate, and suspects involved. Volunteers canvassed the affected neighborhoods, interviewing potential witnesses and gathering surveillance recordings from homes and businesses along the suspected route.

Investigators have focused on the intersection of Robert Pitt Road and Route 59, a busy thoroughfare in Monsey, hoping that traffic and security cameras there will provide crucial evidence.
