Manchester Police Investigate Antisemitic Vandalism Against Haredi Vehicles

Manchester police and volunteers from the Shomrim organization are investigating an antisemitic vandalism incident in which several vehicles owned by Haredi Jews were damaged in Leicester and Middleton during the early hours of Saturday morning. Around 3:00 a.m. between Friday and Saturday, multiple cars were found with smashed windows and other damage. Shomrim has urged anyone with information or security footage to contact them or the Manchester police.

This event follows a recent attack in the Salford neighborhood of Manchester’s Haredi community, where three Jewish adults were lightly injured by a pellet gun fired from a passing car. The police are treating that incident as a religiously motivated assault. The victims sustained minor injuries and did not require extensive medical treatment. Authorities have arrested two individuals on suspicion of religiously motivated assault, and both remain in custody as investigations continue.
