Gadi Eizenkot Urges Coalition to Halt Legislative Blitz Ahead of Knesset Dissolution

A week before the Knesset is set to dissolve, Gadi Eizenkot, chairman of the Yisra party, is calling on coalition members to stop the rapid legislative push. Eizenkot criticized the outgoing government as the worst in Israel's history, accusing it of leading the country into new depths with open eyes. He condemned the coalition for promoting laws that undermine Israel's values, favor evasion over service, and fuel division, hatred, and falsehoods.

Eizenkot appealed directly to coalition members, urging them to consider the heavy price their actions impose on the security and lives of Israeli citizens. He warned that continuing the legislative spree would mark them with a "mark of Cain" and stressed that the country is too precious to be sacrificed in their exit strategy.

In recent polls, Yisra has surged to first place with 22 seats, gaining two since the last survey and ten since the April merger of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid. Meanwhile, Likud holds steady at 21 seats but has dropped to 18 when combined with other factions. The Knesset is scheduled to dissolve in one week, setting the stage for the 2026 elections.
