President Herzog Grants Pardon to Former Manufacturers Association Head Shraga Brosh

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has granted a pardon to businessman Shraga Brosh, the former chairman of the Manufacturers Association. Brosh was convicted of tax offenses and had been sentenced to one year in prison. He was released after serving a month and a half of his sentence. The President's Office confirmed on Thursday that the remainder of Brosh's prison term was commuted to five months of community service.

The decision cited significant personal circumstances, which were not disclosed due to privacy concerns, along with Brosh's age of 73 and his extensive public contributions to the state and economy, especially during the ongoing war period. These factors were key in the decision to reduce his sentence and grant the pardon.
