Jewish Community in Isfahan Mourns Khamenei as a Protective Figure

Soleiman Zadikpour, leader of the Jewish community in Isfahan and rabbi of the Keter David synagogue, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ali Khamenei in a statement to Iranian media. In an interview with the Iranian news agency ISNA, Zadikpour described Khamenei as a humble and fatherly figure who consistently distinguished between Judaism as a religion and Zionism as a political movement. He emphasized that Khamenei's simplicity and modesty made him beloved across all social strata.

Zadikpour highlighted that Khamenei provided the Jewish community with a sense of security and belonging, allowing them to live peacefully in Iran while feeling an integral part of the nation. Despite his high status, Khamenei was approachable and empathetic toward ordinary people, respecting individuals regardless of their faith. Regarding the ongoing mass mourning in Iran and Iraq, Zadikpour interpreted it as a rare display of solidarity reflecting the deep connection between the leader and his people. He noted that people of all religions and opinions came together to pay their final respects, underscoring Khamenei's significance to the population.
