Alcohol, brawl and police disrupt sixth-grade graduation party, parents say children came home traumatized

The story · English

A sixth-grade graduation party at a school in a city in central Israel ended in chaos, according to parents who described alcohol, a violent fight and police intervention. The incident, reported by N12 and published on June 26, 2026 at 09:55, left some children and adults shaken, and parents say the party was cut short and dispersed at 9:30 p.m.

Parents said several students arrived with alcohol, and that the situation escalated into an especially violent fight between two girls. One mother told N12 that adults who tried to separate those involved were also hit. In a message shared among parents, one mother wrote that her daughter witnessed “severe blows” and that parents attempting to break up the fight were attacked.

According to the parents, the police were called to the school and the event was ended early. One mother said the children went home in “terrible trauma,” adding, “I’m talking to you and the hairs on my body are standing up with anger, rage, trauma, panic. This is simply not normal.” Another parent described the children returning home with “trembling, crying, real fear, difficulty falling asleep and refusing to leave the house in the morning.”

Parents also said some of the children did not come to school the next day, with one mother saying, “The children did not go to school today. The classrooms are empty, as far as I know.” The families have turned to city officials and the mayor’s office, asking for firm handling of the incident, answers about how alcohol reached the party, and a calming message for the frightened students.
