Greek club Panionios in talks to sign Goni Naor
Israeli midfielder Goni Naor, who still belongs to Maccabi Haifa, is in advanced talks with Panionios, according to a report Thursday in the Greek lower-league outlet Mikriliga. If completed, the move would keep him in Greece for a second straight stint.
Naor spent the past season on loan at Larissa, where he made 19 appearances in the second half of the campaign. Before that, he also played six matches in Maccabi Haifa colors.
The 2024-25 season was Naor’s first outside Israel. He has also earned two caps for Israel, in matches against Malta and Belarus.
