Air Europa to Resume Flights to Israel on June 29

Air Europa says it will restart flights to Israel on June 29, after a prolonged suspension and repeated delays since the war began in February. The European carrier is one of the main airlines on the Israel-Spain route and had pushed back the relaunch several times in recent months because of security conditions and ongoing assessments in the international aviation sector.

The airline plans to restore service from Israel to major Spanish destinations, including Barcelona and Madrid. Those routes are considered especially popular with Israeli travelers, both for leisure trips and as connection points for onward travel to other destinations in Europe and South America.

Air Europa’s return fits a broader trend of foreign airlines gradually resuming operations to Israel after earlier cutbacks and suspensions caused by the security situation. At the same time, the aviation industry is still coping with operational problems at airports, especially Ben Gurion Airport, where congestion and ground infrastructure shortages remain a concern.

Industry sources say this remains a sensitive period in which airlines are cautiously returning to full service, while balancing demand, operational limits, and the security and logistical situation on the ground.
