Magen David Adom spokesman Zaki Heller said the emergency service is preparing for expected disruptions from protests by extremist ultra-Orthodox demonstrators. In an interview with ynet, he said all teams would be reinforced, both at dispatch centers and across the country, and that ambulances and intensive care vehicles would be positioned in areas likely to face heavy traffic.

Asked whether ambulances are having trouble reaching scenes on time because of the protests, Heller said crews are experienced in dealing with such days and have learned to prepare in advance by deploying personnel in the field. He added that the organization is asking the public to let ambulances pass freely.

"Every ambulance is on the way to save lives," Heller said.
