UAE Defence Minister Praises Flydubai Pilot Injured in Attack

The UAE Minister of Defence, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, visited the pilot of a Flydubai flight in the hospital. The pilot sustained serious injuries after being stabbed by the co-pilot suspect during the flight. The minister expressed his appreciation for the pilot's courage and responsibility during the incident, stating that his actions embodied the highest levels of bravery and concern for human life. "We are proud that he is part of the UAE's story, a nation of peace and life," Al Maktoum added.

The flight, en route from Dubai to Israel, experienced a serious incident in the cockpit when the co-pilot attacked the pilot, causing severe injuries. Several passengers intervened and helped subdue the suspect, turning the event into a collective rescue effort involving crew members and passengers. UAE authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances and motives behind the co-pilot's actions.

The minister's visit is part of an official commendation for those who helped prevent the situation from worsening and saved the lives of the passengers.
