British police announced that two men in their 30s have been convicted of involvement in planning a terror attack against the Jewish community in Manchester, northern England. The indictment states the two planned to carry out the attack on or around Yom Kippur, September 20th. Authorities suspect the men were in contact with a third party overseas, possibly in Iran. The conviction follows a previous attack a year earlier in the Manchester suburbs, where two people were murdered and four injured in a vehicle ramming and stabbing incident at the "Heaton Park" synagogue in Crumpsall.
