Ben Caspit Says His Criticism of Netanyahu Is About October 7 and Policy Failures

Journalist Ben Caspit said Tuesday on Radio 103fm that his sharp criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is rooted in the events and decisions surrounding the October 7 attack. He rejected the idea that he is simply “picking on” Netanyahu personally, saying his attacks are based on the prime minister’s conduct.

Caspit argued that if a government releases 1,027 prisoners into Gaza, tells the system to contain and feed Hamas, avoids any confrontation, and supplies the group with cash in U.S. dollars, then disaster is predictable. He also questioned what would happen to Israel’s international standing under such choices.

He further criticized Netanyahu for forming a government with people he described as reckless and inflammatory, saying that under such leadership the outcome should have been expected. The remarks were aired in the context of ongoing political turmoil around the Likud party and Netanyahu’s coalition.
