Mark Levin blasts emerging Lebanon deal as a danger to Israel and a gift to Hezbollah

The story · English

American broadcaster and author Mark Levin launched a late-night attack on the diplomatic talks involving Lebanon and Hezbollah, arguing that the arrangement would serve Hezbollah and Iran rather than Israel and its allies. He said Israel is being excluded from discussions about its own security and asked how a negotiation can proceed when, in his words, the two countries most affected, Israel and Lebanon, are not even participating.

Levin said the emerging framework is being handled by Qatar, Pakistan and the United States, and warned that the result is meant to be imposed on both Israel and Lebanon. He criticized Washington for pressuring Israel, saying, “Have we ever forced a democratic ally to endanger its citizens to support a terrorist organization that murdered Americans?” He called the effort a “disgrace” and accused the United States of smearing Israel for refusing to abandon its security.

In another post, Levin said the deal would not weaken Hezbollah but would entrench Iranian control in Lebanon through the group. He wrote that for 45 years Hezbollah has killed Americans, while Israel has been the only country actively acting against it, adding, “So why are we helping Hezbollah? This is pure appeasement of Iran.”

Levin also attacked Qatar and Pakistan as the main mediators, calling them corrupt, brutal regimes with terrorist ties and hostility toward Israel. He compared the initiative to the Obama-era nuclear deal, said it was worse, and urged Israel to reject any such agreement entirely, “for its own security and for ours.” He ended by questioning how Republican members of Congress would respond and said that if Americans understood the deal’s implications, public support would be very low.
