The French Ambassador to Israel, Christophe Frizou, made a festive visit to Kfar Chabad on Wednesday, touring the village's sites and participating in a traditional Sukkot celebration. The visit began with an in-depth tour of key locations, including the home of the Rebbe and the traditional etrog orchard of the Gorlik family, where Frizou learned about the cultivation of the "Four Species" and the customs of Sukkot within Hasidism.
Later, the Ambassador of Kosovo to Israel, Roi Rozenk, joined Frizou. The two diplomats were hosted by the head of the village council, Shimon Rabinovich, in his Sukkah for a festive Hasidic gathering. Rabbi Chaim Prous of the local Beit Hora'ah also attended.
A notable moment occurred during the gathering when Frizou and other participants spontaneously sang the French national anthem, "La Marseillaise." The song holds historical significance within the Chabad tradition. The guests expressed deep admiration for the unique holiday atmosphere and the spirit of brotherhood characteristic of the community.
