שר החוץ גדעון סער הגיב בחריפות על אירועי ההצתות והאלימות בכפר הפלסטיני ג'אלוד שבשומרון.
סער כינה את ההתפרעות, שכללה הצתת רכוש ופציעת לוחמי מג"ב, כ"חמורה ומתועבת". הוא הדגיש כי מבצעי העבירות הפליליות הללו, הפוגעים בכוחות הביטחון וביהודים, הם פושעים שיש לטפל בהם ב"כל חומרת הדין".
