האדמו"ר מדז'ירקא, רבי אהרן בריזל זצ"ל, הלך לעולמו בגיל 73 לאחר שסבל מאירוע רפואי מורכב. הידיעה על פטירתו הגיעה מארצות הברית, והיא מהווה אבל כבד בעולם החסידות.

ביום טוב שני של גלויות, התבקשו חסידי האדמו"ר בארץ ישראל להתפלל לרפואתו. האדמו"ר נודע כאדם שפעל רבות למען הזולת, בגופו ובנפשו.
