Argentine Athlete Removed from National Team Over Antisemitic Remark

Florencia Guerra Sodero has been suspended from the Argentine national team after making an antisemitic statement on social media. Sodero, who was selected to represent Argentina in padel at the Pan American Championship, posted a message stating, "I will represent everyone except Jews." She had previously expressed pride in representing the full spectrum of Argentine society, listing various groups including libertarians, Peronists, the rich and poor, and even fans of the Belgrano football club.

The remark sparked outrage, according to ICE. The Argentine Padel Federation subsequently removed Sodero from the competition.
