שר החוץ גדעון סער כינה את נאומו של ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו באו"ם "נאום מזהיר", והוסיף כי נתניהו "הציג את האמת שלנו בבית השקר של האו"ם". גם השר לביטחון לאומי איתמר בן גביר שיבח את הנאום, ומסר כי "כל מדינת ישראל עומדת מאחוריך מול השקרים של העולם". תגובות אלו מגיעות לאחר נאומו של נתניהו בעצרת הכללית של האו"ם, בו הציג את עמדת ישראל.
