0404 · שלוש שנים אחרי העימותים: יותר מ־2,000 השתתפו בתפילת יום הכיפורים בגן מאיר | צפו שלוש שנים אחרי התמונות הקשות מכיכר דיזנגוף, תפילת יום הכיפורים במרחב הציבורי חזרה השנה לתל אביב, אך הפעם התמונה הייתה שונה לחלוטין. לפי הנתונים שנמסרו על האירוע, יותר מ־2,000 בני אדם הגיעו במהלך יום הכיפורים לגן מאיר במרכז העיר והשתתפו בתפילה שארגן ארגון ״ראש יהודי״. במקום הוקצה מתחם שאִפשר למי שביקשו זאת להתפלל בהתאם למסורת האורתודוקסית ובהפרדה בין נשים לגברים, בעוד חלקים אחרים של הגן נותרו פתוחים לציבור. האירוע התקיים ללא העימותים החריפים שאפיינו את תפילת יום הכיפורים בכיכר דיזנגוף בשנת 2023, אז התפתחה מחלוקת סביב ניסיון המארגנים ליצור הפרדה מגדרית במרחב הציבורי, לאחר שעיריית תל אביב ובתי המשפט לא אישרו הצבת מחיצה במקום. במהלך אותה תפילה פרצו עימותים בין מתפללים למוחים והתפילה במתכונתה המקורית הופסקה. יותר מ־2,000 משתתפים בגן מאיר השנה הגיעו לגן מאיר מתפללים רבים לאורך יום הכיפורים, כאשר על פי נתוני המארגנים מספר המשתתפים חצה את רף 2,000 בני האדם. בין הנוכחים היו תושבי תל אביב לצד מבקרים שהגיעו במיוחד לתפילות. במקביל, הגן המשיך לשמש גם אנשים שלא השתתפו בתפילה, משפחות, ילדים ועוברי אורח. המתכונת אפשרה למי שביקשו להתפלל בהפרדה לעשות זאת, לצד האפשרות לאחרים להישאר במרחב הציבורי בלי להשתתף בתפילה או לשבת מחוץ למתחם המופרד.2h ago
