בימים האחרונים הפגינו הורים מנצרת בכניסה לעיריית נצרת, בדרישה לרשום את ילדיהם לגני הילדים הצמודים לבית הספר היסודי אל-קסטל בשכונת אל-ספאפרה בעיר. כ-17 ילדים, שעלו לכיתת הגן, נותרו בביתם למרות תחילת שנת הלימודים לפני מספר שבועות.

לטענת ההורים, הם תושבי נצרת ומבקשים לרשום את ילדיהם לבית הספר, גם אם חלוקה גאוגרפית מחייבת חלק מהם לשלם מיסים למועצה המקומית ריינה. שני הורים סיפרו על המצב לערוץ "הלא".

עיריית נצרת מסרה כי היא פועלת לקבל תגובה מהוועדה הממונה בעירייה בנוגע לדברי ההורים, והיא תפרסם אותה בהמשך.
