צעיר פלסטיני בן 28, מוחמד עבד אל-קאדר דאוד עבארה, תושב הכפר רמאנה שבנפת ג'נין, נהרג היום (שבת) בתאונת עבודה שאירעה בסמוך ליישוב ברטעה. צוותי מד"א הוזעקו למקום וקיבלו דיווח על העברתו של הפצוע לנקודת מפגש עם צוותי רפואה במחסום ברטעה. הצוותים הרפואיים העניקו לו טיפול ראשוני במקום, ולאחר מכן פינו אותו לבית החולים הלל יפה כשמצבו מוגדר קשה, עם פגיעת ראש. דקות לאחר מכן, נקבע מותו של הצעיר בבית החולים לאחר שכוחות ההצלה נכשלו בניסיונות ההחייאה.
