אלפי תושבי ירושלים השתתפו אמש בדרשת שבת שובה שנשא הפוסק הגאון רבי משה שטרנבוך בהיכל בית המדרש הגדול דושינסקיא. באירוע נכחו רבנים בכירים, מורי הוראה ודיינים בכירים.

במהלך דרשתו, תקף הגר"מ שטרנבוך בחריפות ניסיונות לפגוע ב"כרם בית ישראל", והתייחס למעצרם של 80 בחורי ישיבות שנכלאו בבית הסוהר הצבאי במהלך החג. הוא קרא להתרחקות מוחלטת מ"רשעים" ולשמירה קפדנית על השבת כדרך לישועה.

הדרשה, שזכתה לתיעוד נרחב, התקיימה בנוכחות אלפי בני ירושלים.
