US Offers Rewards for Information on Iran's Financial Network

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced a reward program for valuable information that helps identify individuals and entities collaborating with Iran. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that this initiative is part of a broader campaign, "Economic Outcast," aimed at completely cutting off financial channels supporting the Iranian regime and its facilitators.

While the specific reward amount was not disclosed, Bessent emphasized that any informant providing practically significant information could be eligible. The offer is open to individuals worldwide, regardless of their nationality or current employment.

"The Treasury Department has launched Operation 'Economic Outcast' to cut off all financial channels supporting the Iranian regime and those who assist it. That is why I have called on informants to come forward and provide information about those who facilitate Iran's terror," Bessent wrote on social media platform X.

U.S. authorities indicated that the program targets a global network of assistants and intermediaries. Washington hopes to engage individuals within various international structures who can reveal hidden accounts and financing schemes.

"To all people around the world who have information about these financial channels: this is your chance. If you have information of practical value to the Treasury Department, you may be eligible for a reward, regardless of where you live or who pays your salary. If you see something, say something," Bessent added.
