חבר הכנסת איתמר בן גביר רשם מפלגה נוספת במסגרת רשימתו לכנסת, צעד שיאפשר לו לקבל מימון נוסף מקופת המדינה. המפלגה החדשה, ששמה "ארץ ישראל שלנו", נרשמה על שמם של השר יצחק וסרלאוף וחבר הכנסת יצחק קרויזר.

המהלך נועד להגדיל את התקציב המפלגתי של בן גביר, שכן כל מפלגה רשומה זכאית לקבל מימון מהמדינה בהתאם לאחוזי ההצבעה לה זכתה בבחירות האחרונות. רישום מפלגה נוספת מאפשר למפלגה המקורית ליהנות ממימון גדול יותר, שכן המימון מחולק בין כל המפלגות הרשומות תחתיה.
