Otzma Yehudit, led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, has registered as two separate political parties, a move reportedly designed to increase its public funding from the state. According to a report by Kan News, this is a "fictitious registration" intended to boost the party's finances by an estimated 1.2 million shekels annually for the newly registered additional party. This maneuver comes as the party prepares for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections.
The full list for "Otzma Yehudit" submitted to the Registrar of Parties places Minister Ben-Gvir at the top. MK Tally Gotliv is listed as number two, recently joining the party.
