Education Ministry Official Impressed by Beit Shemesh School Construction Boom

Yigal Tzarfati, Deputy Director General for Development and Construction at the Ministry of Education, visited Beit Shemesh to tour the city's educational construction and development sites. He was hosted by Mayor Shmuel Greenberg and accompanied by city officials, including Education Coordinator Itzik Elmaliach and City Manager Eliad Abramczyk. The tour included recently inaugurated school buildings and projects currently under construction or in the planning stages, such as institutions in the Vizhnitz and Sanz neighborhoods, Talmud Torah Ataret Shlomo, and educational complexes in Ramat D' and Ramat H'.

During the visit, Tzarfati observed the significant construction momentum in Beit Shemesh, which has seen over 100 new classrooms inaugurated recently, with numerous other projects underway. The discussion also focused on Mayor Greenberg's five-year plan, which aims to build thousands of additional classrooms in the coming years to accommodate the city's growth and new neighborhoods. This plan seeks to proactively establish the necessary educational infrastructure to match the rapidly expanding population.

Tzarfati expressed his full support for the city's development, stating, "We in the Ministry of Education are partners in the path and vision of the mayor to bring thousands of classrooms in the coming years." Mayor Greenberg emphasized the importance of the site visit for Tzarfati to witness the scale of the ongoing work, noting that the 100 new classrooms are just the beginning of a larger initiative to ensure the education system grows alongside the city.
