Hasidic Dynasty Celebrates Joyous Occasion in Canada

The Modzitz Hasidic dynasty is celebrating a joyous occasion with the engagement of Rabbi Yisrael Yitzchak, the son of Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazar, the Rebbe of Modzitz in Israel. The engagement took place in Canada, marking a significant event for the community.

The groom-to-be, Rabbi Yisrael Yitzchak, is the grandson of Rabbi Yisrael Yitzchak, the previous Modzitz Rebbe, who passed away in 2001. The bride is the daughter of Rabbi Mordechai, the Rebbe of Spinka Canada. The engagement ceremony was attended by family, close friends, and members of the Hasidic community, who gathered to share in the simcha (joy).

The Modzitz dynasty, known for its rich musical tradition, traces its origins to the town of Modzitz in Poland. The current Rebbe, Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazar, leads the community from Israel, while branches of the dynasty exist in various parts of the world, including Canada.
