Turkish Foreign Minister Slams Netanyahu as 'Genocidal Killer'

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan launched a sharp verbal attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, labeling him a "killer" and a perpetrator of "genocide." These remarks, made in Istanbul on the sidelines of a joint security and strategy committee meeting for the Turkey-Pakistan-Saudi Arabia "Mecca Alliance," represent a significant escalation in Turkey's rhetoric towards Israel.

Fidan stated that Netanyahu has become a "common enemy of humanity, the international community, and global security," adding that he should not be taken seriously at this time. He urged the international community to take practical steps against Netanyahu, warning that the perceived Israeli threat extends beyond Turkey to global security.

"Thinking that this is only Turkey's problem is a big mistake," Fidan declared. He also called on international powers to act to stop Netanyahu, asserting that the continuation of what he described as "genocide" poses a danger to the region, Israel, the Jewish people, and the entire world.

These statements come amid a sustained hardening of Turkey's stance against Israel. Ankara has recently implemented political and economic measures, including trade restrictions and support for legal actions against Israel in international courts. The Istanbul meeting of the "Mecca Alliance" is seen as an additional platform for Ankara to bolster its diplomatic efforts and coordinate regional positions with its partners.
