Turkish Foreign Minister Says No Need for Conflict with Israel, Criticizes Netanyahu

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in an interview with The National that there is no reason for an open conflict between Turkey and Israel. He emphasized that within Israel, there are still reasonable and wise individuals with strategic vision, distinguishing them from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his associates. Fidan suggested that as Israeli elections approach, Netanyahu seeks an enemy to rally against. After conflicts with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, Netanyahu is allegedly attempting to create a new adversary by targeting Turkey.
