Rabbi of Kretschneff Visits Yeshiva Dorms for New Term
The Grand Rabbi of Kretschneff Kiryat Gat visited the Torat Yisrael Yeshiva in the Ramot David neighborhood of Kiryat Gat to mark the start of the Elul study period. Upon arrival, the Rabbi affixed mezuzahs in the dormitory wing, a tradition performed to bless a new space. He was joined by Rabbi Yona Bash, chairman of the yeshiva's board, who also participated in the mezuzah-hanging ceremony.
The Rabbi then conducted a tour of the newly added dormitory wing with the yeshiva staff. During the tour, he closely observed the students' needs, entering their rooms to see the new furnishings installed for their comfort. Yeshiva officials presented the new furniture to the Rabbi.
Following the tour, the Rabbi led a 'L'Chaim' gathering in the yeshiva hall. He delivered a sermon with words of Torah and guidance for the upcoming academic year. Students then passed by to receive his blessings for the new term.
