Corinne Gideon Launches Lab-Grown Diamond Jewelry Brand MARABU
Israeli media personality Corinne Gideon has launched a new business venture, MARABU, a brand specializing in lab-grown diamond jewelry. This expansion into the jewelry market follows Gideon's established career in television, commercial campaigns, and her recent foray into the culinary world with the opening of her delicatessen, "Sorotzkin." The MARABU brand, a partnership with her husband Hili Sorotzkin, aims to combine sophisticated design with high-quality craftsmanship, featuring collections designed by Gideon herself.
The brand name, MARABU, is inspired by the Hebrew phrase "Mah Rabu Ma'asecha" (How Great Are Your Deeds), reflecting a blend of international flair and a connection to tradition and gratitude. The initial launch will focus on a women's jewelry collection, including rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, with plans to expand into men's jewelry and matching sets in the future.
Gideon stated that the inspiration for MARABU came from frequent inquiries from her social media followers about the unique jewelry she and her husband wore, which they often designed themselves. She saw an opportunity to share her personal designs with a wider audience.
The choice to focus on lab-grown diamonds is intended to offer a more accessible luxury experience. Lab-grown diamonds share the same chemical composition and crystal structure as natural diamonds but are created in a controlled laboratory environment. This process allows for larger, high-quality diamonds at a significantly lower price point compared to mined diamonds. Each MARABU piece will be sold with a certificate of authenticity.
