New Israeli Resort Aims to Replicate Overseas Vacation Experience Locally
Kassland, a new resort developed by Kass Group, has opened in Ma'ale Adumim, aiming to provide an all-inclusive vacation experience previously only found abroad. Located within the D-City complex, the resort features a hotel with approximately 210 rooms, a large indoor water park called Kass Splash, an indoor amusement park named Magic Kass, and a 3,000-square-meter indoor entertainment complex called Djump, which includes trampolines, climbing walls, and arcade games. The resort also offers a spa, Atlantis Spa, with a restaurant and bar, and a bowling alley and pool tables for older guests.
The Kassland concept focuses on consolidating various leisure activities and amenities within a single location to minimize travel time and planning for guests. "Today, people who want a resort with everything in one hotel fly abroad. We have a resort here an hour's drive from the center that has everything," stated Judit Handler, Kassland's marketing manager. The resort is designed to cater to families with children of different ages, allowing them to split up for activities like the water park, amusement rides, or the Djump complex, while parents can utilize the spa facilities.
Beyond family-oriented attractions, Kassland also targets couples seeking a getaway, offering rooms with mountain views and options for celebrating special occasions like proposals and birthdays. The resort's location within the D-City complex also incorporates a shopping component, featuring fashion, furniture, and electronics stores, further enhancing the self-contained vacation experience. Handler emphasized that the resort is not just a hotel with added attractions but a destination in itself, designed to integrate accommodation, entertainment, dining, and shopping into a cohesive holiday.
Kassland's facilities are largely indoor and air-conditioned, making it a viable option for year-round tourism, regardless of weather conditions. The resort aims to offer a comprehensive vacation experience that reduces the need for external travel, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of activities and amenities without leaving the premises. "You drive an hour and you're abroad," Handler concluded, highlighting the resort's ambition to bring an international vacation feel to Israel.
