Israel Launches Exciting Summer Attractions for Families During School Break
As schools officially close for the summer vacation, families across Israel are seeking engaging and air-conditioned activities to keep children entertained during July and August. Among the top attractions is the international Playmobil Park, arriving in Israel for the first time. Located at Zappa Midtown in Tel Aviv from July 24 to August 31, the park features over 30 giant interactive figures, themed play areas including knights, pirates, and dragons, virtual reality pirate ship rides, and creative workshops suitable for various ages.
In Rishon Lezion, the WIPARK extreme inflatable park opens in the Maccabi Hall, spanning 1,500 square meters with obstacle courses, giant slides, climbing walls, and trampoline zones. The park caters to all ages, including a large air-conditioned LEGO tent and a dedicated toddler play area, with entry prices starting at 29 shekels.
The Israel Nature and Parks Authority introduces "The Eighth Sound," a unique video art exhibition in the cool Bell Caves of Beit Guvrin National Park. Created by musician Ehud Banai and video artist Ronen Tanhum, the exhibit combines music, text, and video art tailored for the underground space. It runs from July through November 2026 during evening hours, with visitors able to pre-order picnic packages to enjoy nearby outdoor areas.
Finally, the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv offers a rich summer program including workshops, family games, planetarium shows, and theater performances by Orna Porat Theater. Activities run throughout July and August in air-conditioned spaces, with exhibitions like the Biennale for Arts and Design and the family-friendly "Worth the Wait" exhibition. Visitors are advised to check age suitability and schedules in advance.
These diverse options provide families with a variety of cultural, artistic, and physical activities to enjoy the summer break comfortably and creatively across Israel.
