Toldot Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe Receives Rare Books from Father’s Estate After Nearly 30 Years

The story · English

After almost three decades, the Rebbe of Toldot Avraham Yitzchak has received nearly 100 rare books from the estate of his father, the late Toldot Aharon Rebbe, Rabbi "Divrei Emunah". These books had not been distributed among the heirs until now. The Hasidic courts of Toldot were divided following the passing of Rabbi "Divrei Emunah," and recently there has been a six-month estrangement between the sons leading Toldot Avraham Yitzchak and Toldot Aharon.

According to Rabbi Aharon Feigel, the lawyer appointed by the Rebbe to handle the matter, this collection is a valuable treasure that was previously unknown and not listed during the original inheritance division. The Rebbe had long claimed that additional books were missing from the official lists. Only three of the books were known and listed, but due to their great value, they were not physically divided or sold to distribute their monetary worth.

The Rebbe spent hours examining the books, showing clear excitement and joy as he revisited volumes he knew well from his youth studying Torah and spiritual work in his father’s room. Rabbi Feigel also revealed that more valuable manuscripts have recently come to light and are being prepared for review and division.

The upcoming distribution of the books is expected to facilitate a meeting between the Rebbes of Toldot Aharon and Toldot Avraham Yitzchak, who have not met for a long time. This meeting is scheduled to take place next week, marking a significant step in resolving the division within the Hasidic courts.
