Five-Year-Old Injures Finger in Blender Accident During Shabbat Preparations in Beit Shemesh

A five-year-old boy was injured at his home in the Ramat G neighborhood of Beit Shemesh after accidentally putting his hand into a blender while preparations for Shabbat were underway. United Hatzalah medical teams arrived at the scene and provided initial treatment, including stopping the bleeding and bandaging the injury. The child was then transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where doctors are attempting to save his fingers. His condition was reported as stable.

Paramedics Shlomi Polishuk, Itzik Fox, and Pinchas Wasserman from United Hatzalah stated that the boy accidentally inserted his hand into the blender. They emphasized the importance of keeping children away from blenders, knives, and other sharp kitchen utensils, especially during busy cooking times like Shabbat preparations, to prevent serious injuries and accidents.
