Israeli Woman Receives Kosher Food Aid in Germany From Brother of Man She Helped in Jerusalem Hospital

An Israeli woman in her 30s, hospitalized in Germany for medical treatment after inconclusive tests in Israel, faced difficulties obtaining kosher food during her stay. Local Chabad emissaries initially provided assistance but had to leave for the United States, promising to find a replacement to continue helping the woman and her mother. The person who arrived to deliver kosher meals was identified as Yizhar Raz, the brother of a patient the woman had helped months earlier at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

The woman had previously noticed the distress of a couple during her own hospitalization in Jerusalem and ordered a meal for them, which turned out to be the last meal the man, Ronen Raz, ate before his death. Yizhar recalled meeting the woman during that time and was impressed by her kindness. Now, in Germany, the roles reversed as Yizhar brought kosher food to the woman and her mother, completing an extraordinary circle of kindness.

The woman expressed amazement at the coincidence and gratitude to the Chabad emissaries for their support. Yizhar described his late brother Ronen as a modest and quiet man who helped others without seeking recognition and whose life was tragically cut short by illness. This unexpected reunion highlighted the profound connections formed through acts of compassion across continents and circumstances.
